A Fox Lane assistant coach is accused of choking two teens at Pleasantville party Sunday night.
Robert DiFiore is facing several charges, according to police. That includes two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and two counts of criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation.
The Fox Lane High School assistant baseball coach was at party in Pleasantville on Sunday when investigators say the incidents occurred.
DiFiore appeared in front of a judge Thursday morning in Mount Pleasant. He entered a plea of not guilty.
While News 12 was at court, the mom of a 13-year old involved, who wanted to remain anonymous, says her child was one of the teens who was choked.
She told News 12 the kids were throwing candy around and some pieces hit DiFiore, who was the DJ at the party. She says that's when the 60-year-old got upset and grabbed and choked the two teenagers.
Court documents say it caused both the 13-year-old and 14-year-old to experience difficulty breathing, fear and physical pain.
These allegations are shocking to people we talked to in Mount Pleasant.
"I can only imagine what those parents are going through," says Chris Kane, a Thornwood resident.
"Horrified. Absolutely horrified and somewhat frightened," says Adrian Kringas, a Sleepy Hollow resident.
DiFiore's attorney had no comment.
He will be back in court on August 14.
A spokesperson for the Bedford School District says they have no comment on the arrest.
